As per the guidance provided by the Mahatma Gandhi National Council of Rural Education, our institution has observed the Zero Waste Week on campus from 01.06.2022 to 07.06.2022 for the World Environmental Day celebration. The B.Sc. (N) II year (59 Nos.) students were divided into 11 teams and assigned responsibilities. The activities performed by the team members are Swachhta activities, creating a geographical map of our institution, demonstration of segregation and disposal of waste, vigilant observation to adhere to the proper waste disposal methods by all, collection and distribution of seeds, awareness on compost preparation, sanitation and hygiene, water conservation, maintenance of herbal garden and spreading the post COVID safety measures. On 06.05.2022, the World Environmental Day pledge was taken by all faculty, staff, and students. Students also actively participated in the plantation of saplings in their residences.The report of the activities of the teams was presented on 7.06.2022. The best team was awarded with certificates
